Willow Houseplants is becoming ‘Willow Botanic’

Those of you who‘ve come to know (and hopefully love) Willow over the last four years will have noticed how we’ve grown in that time.

Not just in terms of size, but in what we offer our customers. Back in 2020 we opened Willow Houseplants in our home village of Doune. Our plan was to offer something in our rural area that, at the time, was only available to city dwellers - somewhere to go for expert help choosing and caring for indoor greenery.

Since those quiet beginnings we’ve grown. While our unique wee shop has proved to be a success with houseplant enthusiasts both locally and further afield, we’ve also seen a growing demand for the beautiful dried flower arrangements and wedding flowers Janine designs, for the Fair Trade gifts that are such an important part of Willow, and for the candles, soaps, cards, jewelry and other products from independent makers that help make Willow the unique place it is.

Before long a search for larger premises led us to the nearby tourist hub of Callander, and an opportunity to share Willow with a wider audience.

With all that in mind, it's become clear that 'Willow Botanic' is a better description of all that we do. To us, changing our name to ‘Willow Botanic’ helps new customers better identify what we have on offer.

Same team, same gorgeous shop, new name

Other than the name, nothing has changed at Willow. We’re still a wife & husband team, still offering a huge range of plants, containers and plant care products, still designing and creating beautiful dried flower arrangements and Wedding Flowers, still offering our unique mix of Fair Trade and Hand Made gifts.
